The weekend is over.  The crowds are gone.  The roar of engines has gone away.  The smell of rubber has subsided.

Petit Le Mans is once again history.

From a fan's perspective this was the best Petit yet.  I mean - c'mon - we had 53 cars starting Petit Le Mans on Saturday - you can't beat that.  We also had some of the best possible weather you could imagine for all four days.

It might just be my personal experience but although it seems like there was a record crowd - the traffic seemed to be handled quite well and the parking was much better than previous years.  We also enjoyed the new SmartPhone app - it helped us navigate the course, kept us up to date on scoring, and was overall a really cool gadget to have for the entire four days.

One of my only complaints was the internet service with my provider (ATT).  It seemed like their network was overworked.  Hopefully that will be an easy fix for next year.

I would like to thank the drivers, crews, emergency personnel, Road Atlanta staff, and everyone that was involved in making this the best Petit Le Mans ever!  I look forward to many more.

For those of you who have never attended an event at Road Atlanta - especially if you have never been to Petit Le Mans - I would urge you to make plans and do so - it is a fantastic experience that you won't soon forget.
