SCCA Pro Racing Playboy MX-5 Cup
The SCCA Pro Racing Playboy MX-5 Cup returns to Road Atlanta for the second time this season for its 2011 finale after running Round Two at the track earlier this season.
During the first visit this season, Ara Malkhassian took the lead for the first time in the 45-minute race on the track’s final lap, taking the win in a thrilling victory after a three-car duel.
Expect more of the same this time by. Mike Cooper has his first professional championship all but wrapped up, but that shouldn’t slow down the action. In fact, with no points on the line, the normally wild action may ramp up another notch. In addition to Malkhassian and Cooper, Dean Copeland has won twice this season, and Jason Saini, Justin Hall and Jeff Mosing have been right there in battles for wins. Anything can and probably will happen in a 45-minute race.
