Chevrolet Named "Official Truck" and
"Official Pace Car" of Road Atlanta
Road Atlanta and Chevrolet announced a new partnership today naming Chevrolet the "Official Truck" and the "Official Pace Car" of the scenic, 2.5 mile 12-turn road course.
"We are very excited to partner again with Chevrolet," said Geoff Lee, President of Road Atlanta. "Chevrolet has a storied history of motorsports success and Road Atlanta is recognized as one of the world's best road courses. It's a perfect match of two iconic racing brands. We're thrilled to have Chevrolet rejoin us and continue our long, successful relationship together".
Chevrolet will activate its sponsorship with a strong annual at-track presence that includes signage, vehicle displays at major races, use of the track for private consumer events, promotions and much more. In addition, a variety of Chevy trucks and SUVs will be used on the property throughout the year and a 2011 Corvette will serve as the "Official Pace Car" for most events.
"Road Atlanta is one of the most challenging road courses in North America, and Chevrolet has had a rich history. This relationship provides an opportunity for Chevrolet to showcase our products and to connect with current and prospective customers in an exciting and engaging way throughout the year," Jim Campbell VP Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. "It's great to partner with Road Atlanta again, and we are looking forward to very exciting times."
